The Arab Federation for Digital Economy appoints “Essam Al-Saghir” as Secretary-General

Abu Dhabi. Today, Tuesday, the Arab Union for the Digital Economy of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States announced the appointment of Essam Al-Saghir as Secretary-General of the Union, to take over the tasks of supervising and managing the implementation of “Arab Vision” projects to support digital transformation plans in Arab countries.

Essam Al-Saghir is considered one of the distinguished experts in the field of digital transformation and the development and mechanization of services. He has more than 34 years of experience in the field of information technology and digital transformation, during which he held the position of head of the National Postal Authority of Egypt, and as a prominent official in the Emirates Post Group in the United Arab Emirates, During which he contributed to making a qualitative leap in all technological and service fields, in addition to the distinguished course in the digital transformation of postal authorities in Arab African countries.

Al-Saghir also participated in many boards of directors of Arab, African and international federations and organizations

The Federation explained that the expertise that Essam Al-Saghir possesses will contribute to the implementation of the Arab vision initiatives, especially in digital transformation projects, e-commerce and logistics services in the Arab region and African countries.
