He said: “It is too early to talk about the lessons of the experience while we are still going through it and suffering its consequences, but we can monitor some clear features of this exceptional event in contemporary history, which are features that are closely related to the topic of this conference, which is “digitization”, where His Excellency emphasized that these The features are represented by three main points, the first of which is that the pandemic has revealed the enormous potential offered by digital technology in dealing with an unconventional crisis of the size of the epidemic, and the impact of digital transformation has emerged in the use of digital technology applications in dealing with the health crisis and in managing different life systems at the time of the pandemic by relying on technology digital.”
As for the second feature, His Excellency said: “The shift towards the digitization of economies naturally preceded the Corona pandemic, which requires the Arab world to pay special attention to this accelerating trend globally, as he indicated that despite some successful experiences such as the UAE, the Arab world still suffers from a digital divide. The third aspect is the importance of the intense presence of digitization applications in the next stage, in the fields of education and employment, as the pandemic revealed huge possibilities for the use of digitization technology in education. Despite the difficulties we faced, the need for expansion and development in this field It is urgent, and the digital revolution will eliminate many jobs, but it will create new activities and jobs that did not exist and cannot even be imagined at this moment, which confirms the importance of technologies and digitalization and the need for balanced strategies.”

The Conference and Exhibition of Digital Economy Technologies “Seamless 2020” will be held at the World Trade Center in Dubai and will continue on November 16-17, 2020 under the auspices of the League of Arab States and organized by Terrapin International Conferences Organization.
