His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Arab League approved the formation of the Executive Office of the Specialized Federations within the framework of implementing the decisions of the fourth session of the Forum of Specialized Arab Federations, which was held under his presidency at the branch of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in the new city of El Alamein in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The second meeting of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specialized Arab Federations was held in the Andalusian Hall, headed by Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali, Head of the Economic Sector of the Arab League, and in the presence of Minister Plenipotentiary Muhammad Khair Abdel Qader, Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Federations in the Arab League.

The meeting was also attended by the heads and general secretaries of eleven specialized Arab federations representing the board of directors of the Executive Office of the forum’s member organizations and federations.

A statement issued by the League of Arab States said that during the meeting, Ahmed Al-Jarwan, President of the General Union of Arab Experts and President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, was unanimously chosen as Chairman of the Executive Office of the Forum, and Wissam Fattouh, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks, was chosen as Vice President of the Executive Office.

Minister Muhammad Khair Abdel Qader, Director of the Arab Organizations and Federations Department at the Arab League, stated that the Executive Office of the Forum discussed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming fifth session of the Forum of Specialized Arab Federations, scheduled to be held in January 2022, headed by the League’s Secretary-General, and the most important topics on its agenda.

The meeting also touched on the decision of the fourth session of the forum regarding the establishment of a special fund to spend on the requirements of the forum and its executive office, projects, and programs that the specialized Arab federations participate in implementing.

It is worth noting that the Executive Office of the Forum of Specialized Arab Federations includes in its composition the following members:

1. His Excellency / Ahmed Al-Jarwan – President of the General Union of Arab Experts and Chairman of the Executive Office of the Forum
2. His Excellency Wissam Hassan Fattouh – Secretary General of the Union of Arab Banks, Vice President of the Executive Office of the Forum
3. His Excellency Ambassador / Abdel Moneim Mohamed Mahmoud – Secretary General of the Arab Union for Export Development | industrial
4. His Excellency Dr./ Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri- President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy
