The Arab Federation for Digital Economy discusses strengthening cooperation in implementing the initiatives of the Arab vision for the digital economy with the Republic of Somalia

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy of the Council of Arab Economic Unity – the League of Arab States held a coordination meeting with the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Somalia in the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Abdi Sheikh Ahmed, Minister of Communications of the Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Taher Mohamed, Ambassador of the Republic of Somalia to the United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Economic Unity and President of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and a number of officials from both sides.

The meeting included a discussion of a number of important topics, on top of which was; Strengthening cooperation in implementing some of the initiatives emanating from the “Arab vision for the digital economy”.

The meeting also dealt with ways to support development goals in the Republic of Somalia, support Arab-Arab cooperation, and focus on projects that improve the lives of Arab citizens, and raise the level of economic and social development in the countries of the region. At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Communications of the Republic of Somalia expressed his welcome and interest in the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision of the digital economy, and stressed the importance of the “vision” in developing the fields of the digital economy in his country and the Arab region.
