In his keynote speech at the Arab Digital Economy Forum, His Excellency Yassin El-Mahdi Walid, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the knowledge economy and emerging institutions in Algeria, called for the need to establish work and cooperation in order to ensure that Arab countries keep pace with technological developments and build a wealth-producing Arab digital space.
The Delegate Minister also touched on the gains made in Algeria with regard to the ecosystem of emerging enterprises, whether with regard to the legal frameworks and administrative procedures in place, or the financing and support mechanisms provided by the state for innovative projects, noting that Algeria is fully ready to share its experiences in the field of digital transformation. Especially those that support the startup ecosystem to make an effective digital leap.
His Excellency Yassin Al-Mahdi highlighted some important numbers that reflect the importance of digital transformation, which requires a more important investment, especially with regard to digital infrastructure, as is the case with the rest of the world, and the need to keep pace with the rapid global pace to achieve comprehensive and integrated digital development, through a systematic investment and a tight action plan. Concerning all fields, by setting up mechanisms to promote the digital economy and start-up companies, increasing investments in infrastructure, and accelerating the digitization of administrative work.
