During his keynote speech at the opening of the Arab Digital Economy Forum, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, said that artificial intelligence has become the main driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and is considered one of the main pillars upon which the technology industry is based through the ability of digital machines and computers to perform certain tasks that simulate and resemble those performed by intelligent beings, exploiting The development and expansion of the use of the Internet of Things (IoT), the Blockchain, and the Digital Twin, where artificial intelligence also aims to reach systems with levels that surpass human intelligence.

His Excellency indicated that the UAE ranks among the best countries in the digital transformation of smart government globally according to the Arab Index of Digital Economy and Global Indicators, and the World Bank issued a report a few days ago in which it praised the steady progress made by Egypt in the digital government agenda, which promoted “ Government effectiveness” in improving the provision of public services, “fighting corruption” and developing taxes and expediting customs, which has a significant impact on transport and logistics and reducing prices, and that successful experiences in Arab countries should be benefited from to work on developing concepts and practices collectively.

His Excellency indicated that the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is the Arab house of expertise in this field, to support governments and entrepreneurs in various stages, starting with spreading awareness about training camps and workshops, providing business incubators and accelerators that are designed specifically for each stage, to organizing regional competitions such as “ The Arab Rally for Entrepreneurs” and the “White Sea Rally” with the European Union”; Where financial support is provided for pilot projects.
