The President of the Arab Union for Digital Economy explained that despite the difficult and delicate circumstances that the world is going through, they present great opportunities, and made the Arab countries more likely to adopt strategic and developmental changes and take decisions that they would not have taken unless there were such circumstances.
In his speech, His Excellency the President of the Union stressed the importance of the decisions of the Arab Summit held in Algeria last November, which referred to one of the most important radical economic remedies, by adopting the Arab Vision for Digital Economy initiative presented by the Arab Union for the Digital Economy. It is an ambitious Arab project that aims to support the transformation of the Arab economic systems, and benefit from renewable technological changes, which in turn can find effective and sustainable solutions to the current challenges.
His Excellency the President of the Federation noted that there is a pivotal role that specialized Arab federations can play, by adopting this Arab vision as a general framework, and to implement digital transformation strategies and motivate Arab companies and institutions in order to move towards deepening the use of modern technologies, which represent a fundamental difference in capabilities. His Excellency added Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri that qualitative Arab federations can play a pivotal role in managing many social and economic files, as they represent a wide variety of types of industries, services and companies, ranging from industrial, agricultural, productive and service, expressing his hope that Arab institutions will review the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision the digital economy and identifying areas through which these initiatives can be implemented in a comprehensive or partial manner, and that the Arab Federation for Digital Economy will support these efforts and participate with all its capabilities and expertise, in serving the goals and efforts of joint Arab action.
His Excellency also stated that the Arab Federation for Digital Economy is working on implementing a set of development initiatives in cooperation with the institutions of the Arab League and the private sector, specifically in the education sector and e-commerce, and that the federation will launch, during the meetings, an initiative that translates and stems from the decisions of the recent Arab summit on the issue of security.
