The Arab Union for Digital Economy, member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specific, Specialized Arab Federations in the League of Arab States, participated in the seventh session of the Forum of Specific, Specialized Arab Unions, and the sixth session of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specific, Specialized Arab Unions, which was held in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman during the period from July 29 to August 01, 2023 .

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Jarwan, Head of the Executive Office of the specialized qualitative Arab Federations, His Excellency the Minister Plenipotentiary / Muhammad Khair Abdul Qadir, Director of the Organizations and Federations Department of the League of Arab States, and a number of officials in the federations, members of the Executive Office of the Forum of specialized qualitative Arab federations in the League of Arab States.

The Arab Union for Digital Economy, through the Assistant Secretary-General / Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, presented a working paper entitled “The Moral Effects of Artificial Intelligence – A Look at Reality and the Future”, which he began by defining the difference between artificial intelligence, which was developed to be able to perform any intellectual task that a person can And between general artificial intelligence or powers in the extent to which it has the ability to understand, learn, adapt and implement knowledge across a wide range of tasks that simulate or exceed the human level. The ethical principles of artificial intelligence, which are applied through important international and regional guidelines, policies and regulations related to the ethics of artificial intelligence, were also reviewed.

The working paper also reviewed the main risks, challenges, and damages of artificial intelligence that must be combated or eliminated, the risks of singularity and superintelligence, dependence on artificial intelligence, expectations about how artificial intelligence will affect and affect the way of life of humans in the near and distant future, how to organize the ethics of artificial intelligence, and present The best ways to educate and raise awareness of the Arab people to face the potential risks of artificial intelligence and its applications.

The second paper submitted by the Arab Union for Digital Economy reviewed the federation’s proposal on the governance of procedures for defining the identity of federations in order to increase their capabilities and effectiveness in achieving their goals and launching their projects and initiatives in the Arab countries.
