The Arab Federation for the Digital Economy discusses ways to develop digital legislation and laws with the Arab Parliament

The Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, a member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specific and Specialized Arab Federations at the League of Arab States, held a coordination meeting with the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament of the League of Arab States, to discuss ways of cooperation in preparing legislation, reviewing existing laws, and creating a legislative matrix that includes models of the most important national, regional and international laws and legislation that It can be used as guidance in Arab countries to enhance joint Arab action and achieve economic integration, social solidarity, and sustainable development.

 

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, His Excellency Counselor Kamel Muhammad Farid Shaarawi, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament, and the couriers of Ambassador Muhammad Khair Abdel Qader, Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, and representatives. On both sides.

 

During the meeting, Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, gave a presentation that included an overview of some of the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision for the digital economy, such as the Arab Food Market Initiative, the Training and Education Initiative, and the Initiative to Qualify One Million Arab Entrepreneurs. The Policy Committee was also discussed. Legislation is one of the permanent and main committees of the Federation and was appointed by the Federation’s General Assembly at its last session last December in Cairo. It is headed by His Excellency Counselor Khairy Al-Kabbash, President of the Court of Appeal in Egypt, and its membership includes a diverse group of consultants, specialists and companies concerned with this type of consultation.
