His Excellency Mohammed bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, received, in his office in Riyadh, His Excellency Dr. Ali Muhammad Al-Khoury, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and President of the Arab Federation for the Digital Economy, to review the position of the Arab vision for the digital economy project in the Arab region, and to discuss ways of cooperation in implementing the most important initiatives emanating from it in the Arab countries.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Hogail, Assistant Minister of Economy and Planning for Committees and Board Affairs and International Relations, and Fahd bin Adnan Al-Mansour, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Sustainable Economic Growth.

His Excellency the Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity reviewed the updates that were made in the new version of the Arab vision and the amendments made to the proposed axes, goals, initiatives and projects, as well as the updated list of pioneering projects that amounted to 52 international ones to support digital transformation in the main economic sectors in all Arab countries.

For his part, Minister Mohammed bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri praised the Arab vision and the role of the United Arab Emirates in developing it, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the directives of the wise leadership of the Kingdom, is keen to support the process of cooperation between Arab countries in all fields, and that the Arab vision represents a pillar that can form A real difference in the Arab economies, through which a group of strategic partnerships and investments are launched aimed at achieving local and Arab interests, which support the creation of a stable economic and social environment in the region.

It is worth noting that the Arab vision for the digital economy was launched in December 2018 in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of representatives of all Arab countries, and enjoys international support from international organizations. Developing technological and legislative infrastructures, and supporting digital transformation plans in vital and strategic sectors in the Arab countries.
