The Arab Federation for Digital Economy participated in the Qingdao Multinational Enterprise Summit 2025 in China. His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Khouri, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, delivered a keynote speech addressing the reality of digital economic transformations in the Arab world and prospects for cooperation with China.

Dr. Al-Khouri emphasized that the Arab region is currently witnessing one of the most profound transformations in its modern history, opening up vast horizons for digital and investment opportunities across various sectors. He explained that the Union launched the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy , adopted by Arab leaders in 2022, as a comprehensive roadmap for developing infrastructure, education, communication, and innovation. He emphasized that this vision will remain incomplete without effective international partnerships.

Al-Khouri pointed out that the opportunities available in the Arab region are tangible and growing , and include areas such as digital infrastructure, smart logistics, AI-enabled agriculture, cross-border e-commerce, and green technologies. He cited the UAE’s experience as a prominent model demonstrating that the Arab digital transformation is not a distant goal, but rather a practical reality taking shape through clear steps.

He concluded by emphasizing that strengthening Arab-Chinese partnerships can contribute to building a more stable, inclusive, and just world, explaining that progress is measured by what is achieved on the ground and by those who achieve it together.
