The Arab Federation for Digital Economy met with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to explore opportunities for collaboration in the field of digital infrastructure. The meeting took place during the Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) in Hangzhou, China, and brought together H.E. Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Khouri, Advisor to the Arab Economic Unity Council and Chairman of the Federation, and Mr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Vice President for Investment Solutions at AIIB.
The discussions focused on potential cooperation in digital infrastructure projects. The Federation presented its initiatives related to data centers, smart cities, and digital financial applications, while the Vice President highlighted the Bank’s role in financing sustainable projects and providing innovative investment solutions in infrastructure and technology sectors.
Both parties expressed their interest in exploring future partnerships to support the digital transformation agenda in the Arab region, emphasizing the importance of ongoing communication to develop practical frameworks for potential areas of collaboration.
