The Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, during its fifty-eighth regular session held in the Jordanian capital Amman under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, approved the accession of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy to the system of joint Arab action, which opens up broader horizons for its participation in formulating and supporting Arab initiatives related to the digital economy, technology and innovation.
The meetings were attended by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, His Excellency Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Office of His Excellency the Secretary-General, and His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Raed Al-Jabouri, Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Federations at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, in addition to representatives of specialized Arab organizations and federations and joint Arab action institutions.
The Arab Federation for Digital Economy’s joining the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action comes as a culmination of its efforts to support digital transformation and develop the Arab digital economy, and to strengthen cooperation between Arab institutions in the fields of technology, innovation, artificial intelligence and the knowledge economy.
The Federation affirmed that this step represents an important milestone in its institutional journey, and opens up broader horizons for cooperation and coordination with specialized Arab organizations, which contributes to supporting joint initiatives and projects aimed at building a more integrated and competitive Arab digital economy, and consolidating the position of the Arab world in the global digital economy.
The Federation also expressed its thanks to His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, for his continued support and generous patronage of the Federation . It also expressed its appreciation to the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Department of Arab Organizations and Federations, and the High Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action for the trust placed in it, stressing its commitment to actively contribute to achieving the goals of joint Arab action and serving the priorities of economic and technological development in the Arab countries.
