His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today at Al Bahr Palace the participants in the First Arab Digital Economy Conference, which concluded its work in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, His Highness welcomed the UAE’s guests from the conference, led by His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. His Highness expressed his appreciation and continued support for such important and pioneering initiatives, which will enhance joint Arab action and strengthen and advance cooperation between Arab countries.
His Highness affirmed that the Arab world possesses the capabilities and potential to promote development, progress, and growth in all fields. He emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the numerous and unique opportunities available in the Arab world through coordination, cooperation, and the launch of ambitious initiatives, especially those that rely on modern technology and techniques. During the conference, the Arab League launched the Joint Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, which will advance Arab coordination and cooperation to higher levels, especially in vital areas such as the economy, and will have a positive impact on the path of Arab solidarity and the well-being of societies.
For their part, the conference delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and his generous patronage of the conference. This support significantly contributed to the success of the conference and the production of these important recommendations and outcomes, most notably the launch of the Joint Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, given the significant impact this sector has on the overall economic growth process in Arab countries and its profound positive impact on the growth and prosperity of societies.
It is worth noting that the conference was launched yesterday in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and in the presence of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The Arab League announced the Joint Arab Vision, attended by representatives from Arab countries and several international institutions concerned with the development of economies and societies in general.
