The Arab Federation for Digital Economy of the Council of Arab Economic Unity of the League of Arab States held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Department of Economic Development and the Kizad Group of the Economic Cities and Free Zones Sector within the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, and Mr. Mansour Al-Marar, Vice President for the Industrial Business Development Sector, and Dr. Hazem Mohammed from the Department of Economic Development, and representatives from both sides.

The meeting included a discussion of the proposed ways of cooperation on the Arab Digital Food Market initiative project, which is one of the initiatives emanating from the Arab vision for the digital economy for the benefit of the Arab region, where the parties welcomed the joint cooperation.

The Arab Digital Food Market initiative is an advanced digital platform that provides a commercial environment to connect exporters and importers, and all suppliers of supporting services and provide smart services in the areas of: logistics services – warehousing – transportation – examination, testing and classification – certification – financing and lending – insurance – customs clearance. The platform relies on advanced technologies such as: blockchain, electronic encryption, and artificial intelligence to secure business operations.
