Saudi Ministry of Communications launches ‘Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing Tour’ in partnership with Google Cloud in 10 regions

RIYADH, June 21, 2026 – The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in partnership with Google Cloud, has announced the launch of the AI and Cloud Kingdom Tour, a national initiative that aims to qualify Saudi talents in artificial intelligence and cloud computing skills through intensive training programs in 10 regions of the Kingdom.

Details of the training program

The tour offers a week-long integrated training model in each city, combining virtual sessions with in-person applied laboratories. This combination aims to link theoretical knowledge to practical application, giving participants a flexible and effective learning experience that enables them to apply the acquired skills in real-world technical environments.

The program includes advanced tracks covering the most important areas required in the technical labor market, most notably: generative artificial intelligence, data analysis and machine learning, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, and application modernization.

Certificates and target groups

The program allows participants to receive attendance certificates, completion badges, and skill badges provided by Google Cloud, enhancing their professional value and supporting their careers in the technology sector.

The program targets multiple categories, including students, graduates, developers, technical engineers, and information technology specialists, in addition to those interested in developing their technical skills.

Target Areas

The training tour includes 10 cities and governorates in the Kingdom: Medina, Buraidah, Al-Jawf, Abha, Tabuk, Dammam, Jeddah, Arar, Hail, and Najran, with the aim of expanding access to advanced technical training in various regions of the Kingdom.

The context of the initiative and the efforts of technical localization

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s strategy to develop national digital talent and strengthen partnerships with global technology leaders to support the Kingdom’s digital transformation goals, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Google Cloud revealed during the Google Cloud Saudi Summit in November 2025 that it achieved more than 31 billion Saudi riyals of economic value in the Kingdom during 2024, and has trained more than 590,000 Saudis in digital skills and artificial intelligence to date. It also announced during the summit this initiative, which was scheduled to start in April 2026.
