Seamless Saudi Arabia Concludes

The Seamless Saudi Arabia Conference and Exhibition concluded successfully under the theme “The Future of Payments in the Kingdom,” in strategic partnership with the Arab Federation for Digital Economy and Saudi Payments. The event witnessed a large turnout of over 12,000 visitors over two days. It was inaugurated by His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, Dr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Mubarak, in the presence of several prominent figures.

The conference and exhibition featured a variety of workshops and panel discussions, with the participation of 200 speakers, including local and international experts in the fields of payments and financial technology. The event also witnessed the signing of agreements between a group of companies and financial institutions, with the participation of more than 300 local and international companies and 150 technology startups.

The accompanying exhibition highlighted the latest innovations in the fields of payments and financial technology, as well as retail and e-commerce. Saudi Payments also presented a number of current and future technologies, which enhance the adoption of these technologies and the development of the financial payments sector. This contributes to enabling e-commerce and retail, and supports the growth of the digital economy in the Kingdom.

For its part, Saudi Payments presented specialized programs in the digital payments sector. Abdulaziz Al-Afaleq, CEO of Saudi Payments, participated in a panel discussion on “Evaluating Promising Regional Opportunities in the E-Commerce and Retail Sector.” Abdulaziz Abanmi, Chief Operating Officer of Saudi Payments, delivered a keynote presentation on “Interoperability and Standardization: The Safety of Enabling the Payments System.”

Tamim Al-Qaseer, Senior Vice President of Business, delivered a keynote presentation on “E-commerce Payments in the Kingdom: Sector Developments and Future Opportunities,” while Noura Al-Bakr, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Excellence, delivered a presentation on “The Dynamic Development of the Payments Sector and Its Future Dimensions.” Mohammed Omar, Director of Business Development, also participated in a panel discussion on “The Kingdom’s Move Towards a Less Cash-Based Society by 2030.”

Aws Al-Muqrin, Director of Data Management and Advanced Analytics at Saudi Payments, also delivered a keynote presentation titled “A Data-Driven Financial Sector: The Importance of Data Strategies in Enabling Data-Driven Organizations.”

Joseph Ridley, General Manager of Terrapinn International, the organizer of Seamless Saudi Arabia, commented on the event’s great success, noting that it was one of the largest events in terms of attendance and witnessed significant interaction from participants.

The exhibition discussed several topics related to financial technology, contributing to strengthening the Kingdom’s leadership position in the financial sector regionally and internationally and driving a real shift towards a less cash-dependent society. The Seamless Conference is considered one of the largest international conferences specializing in payments, having been held for 23 years as a meeting place for experts and specialists, covering the latest innovations and future opportunities in this field. This year, the conference was held in Riyadh for the first time.
