The Arab Federation for Digital Economy Discusses Cooperation with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce on the Sidelines of GITEX in Dubai

The Arab Federation for Digital Economy, a member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Specialized Arab Federations at the League of Arab States, held a coordination meeting with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce to discuss ways of cooperation to achieve the goals of digital transformation in the Arab region.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Darmaki, Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy; His Excellency Ibrahim Al Tamimi, Executive Director of Communications at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Ayman Mukhtar Ghoneim, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation; and representatives from both sides.

During the meeting, the Arab Federation for Digital Economy presented an overview of some of the initiatives stemming from the Arab Vision for the Digital Economy, such as the Arab Food Market Initiative and the Training and Education Initiative. Representatives of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce highlighted the importance of the projects the Federation is working on, given their contribution to enhancing food security and strengthening the export capabilities of traders and manufacturers across various products. They also seek administrative and technological solutions for transactions related to export activities, and develop educational systems in the Arab world through technology, benefiting the region.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of partnership with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, which is a leader in digital transformation. Both sides commended the progress achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of digitization, emphasizing the importance of joint cooperation to develop digital initiatives that serve the strategic vision of Bahrain and the region.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to continuing joint work and exchanging expertise to achieve digital development goals and promote innovation in the Arab world, contributing to building sustainable digital economies.
