The Arab Federation for Digital Economy presented its strategic project “MADAR” during its meeting with the Russian RUSSOFT Association, in a step aimed at developing an institutional mechanism to link Arab projects and opportunities with technology companies, investors and international partners.
The Federation’s delegation held a meeting with RUSSOFT, a Russian professional association representing more than 380 companies specializing in software development and information technology, employing more than 100,000 specialists, and playing a role in supporting the export capabilities of the Russian software industry and connecting its companies to international markets.
During the meeting, the Federation presented the “Madar” project as an Arab gateway that brings together projects, investment opportunities and technological needs, and enables linking them with companies, investors and partners capable of providing appropriate solutions.
The project received attention and welcome from the association’s officials and the participating Russian companies, who expressed a desire to expand cooperation with Arab markets and explore opportunities to establish joint and sustainable digital projects and businesses.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Ambassador Khaled Al-Jaradi, head of the Federation’s delegation, presented the Federation’s shield to Mr. Valentin Makarov, President of the RUSSOFT Association, in recognition of the Association’s role and interest in developing Arab-Russian cooperation in the digital and technological fields.
On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation also met with His Excellency Engineer Majid Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and Digital Government of the United Arab Emirates, where the meeting addressed opportunities to expand cooperation with the Federation, particularly in the Arab Digital Economy Index and projects and initiatives of common interest.
The Federation intends to build on the results of these meetings by using “Madar” as a practical channel to select a number of viable opportunities and projects, and link them to specialized Russian companies, thus transforming the institutional relationships established during the visit into partnerships and projects that can be implemented in the Arab markets.
